Computers. Cell Phones, and other Gadgets

It is frightening to think how dependent we are on technology. I mean I lost computer access from home for about two months. I thought I was back in the stone age. I found myself driving 11 miles on the weekends to use a computer. I remember five years ago. I could have easily lived longer and not missed it one bit.
Then the cell phone. I remember when they were called 'car phones'. When my sister and her husband moved back from California we thought they were the 'bomb' they had the whole 'phone in the bag.' All of my friends were in awe. We could actually call from a car. Now look at us. If I leave my phone...I feel frightened. As if, I may not make it to where I need to go. In all the years I've had one. I've only truly needed to use it once....and I had left it home on the counter. LOL

When I first moved here, I was without Internet for about a month. It drove me nuts, lol. I was driving to the library once a week to access my email.
